Can you really get 100 mpg with your SUV?

This is an announcement about 100 mpg for SUV’s.

As you know, I have been writing about the new technology Dutchman Enterprises has developed for an enormous increase of gas mileage for trucks and SUV’s. In the past they had some issues around EPA approval and they were in a pickle to grow a network of dealers because the car manufacturers didn’t want to work with them. It must have taken the recent downturn and the almost total collapse of SUV and truck sales to get a little more open minded towards technologies available right now. Dutchman Enterprises send me the latest update below today, and I feel anybody interested in ways to reduce gas mileage would want to stay up to date. I realize that adopting a new technology that hasn’t been approved by any large manufacturer is tough.

Ducati Motorbikes

Founded by three brothers, Adriano, Marcello and Bruno Ducati in 1926, Ducati was originally established to create a variety of components for radios. Over the following years, Ducati grew in size and constantly had to move and upgrade their premises and facilities.

It wasn’t until 1944 when the first ?motorbike’ was manufactured ? the Cuccicolo, a small engine designed to be attached to a push-bicycle. Six years and 20,000 Cuccicolo sales later, Ducati manufactured and released their first, full and proper motorbike in 1950.  A mere 60cc, the “55m? or “65TL? weighed 98kg and had a top speed of 40mph.

Chrysler Aspen Hybrid Review - The Pros and Cons

The pros and cons of the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid

While Chrysler’s Aspen continues to build popularity among those consumers still interested in luxury SUVs despite the increasing price of fuel, the overall segment continues to slump. Chrysler’s answer is to add a dual-mode hybrid gas-electric drive system to the Durango’s refined cousin.

The new drivetrain continues to use the revived HEMI which is only turned on when needed. With light throttle the Aspen Hybrid can run on electric power alone up to approximately 30 mph under ideal conditions, which most likely represents the majority of driving most city dwellers are likely to do on a daily basis. In addition, the HEMI can operate on either four or eight cylinders which allows for greater fuel efficiency when there isn’t demand for all of the HEMI’s 385 horsepower.
